What if we’re not suppose to get sick when we get older? What if there’s a cure for any disease in the world? What if the cure relies in your diet?
I believe the cure lies in finding the “cause” and eliminating it. I believe the cause is in what we do the most: what we eat, what we drink, what we breathe.. Its the food, water & air that we have to question? I think most of should look at a health problem as a “food allergy”. Not always when we’re allergic to a food we develop instant reactions like rashes or asthma. Those allergic compounds keep collecting in our body slowly until one time, when there’s too much of it, it’s causing a health problem.
According to some theories humans do not have proper enzymes to digest animal products like dairy, eggs, meat, fish – neither grains like wheat, rye, barley, etc. (read Grain Damage by Doug Graham). And maybe its true? Looking at the statistics – the most common allergens are dairy and wheat (gluten)! What if all the humans are allergic to wheat & dairy? What if some of us get immediate allergic reactions but others just develop health problems later?
How do we find out?
1. Start a raw vegan diet for 30 days and see if you feel better – no dairy, no eggs, no meat & fish
2. Keep a close eye on the ingredients you use in case you notice any effects after
3. Post your results in the comments
I believe we have nothing to loose to try. Nobody can die from drinking smoothies and eating salads for 30 days. Just make sure you eat some avocados and nuts to get your protein. And check out the coming recipes on this website to get some ideas and get started..
Some personal improvements I have noticed after 2 weeks:
* almost dandruff free. I did use some sugar & soy sauce in one of these days for a recipe and noticed more dandruff next day, so either of these ingredients or even both may affect me as well.
* more energy
* I feel more clear in my thoughts, more alert & willing to do things (e.g. before I felt too tired to do some exercise, but now I’m enjoying it)
* I feel my body is getting more flexible (this could be also because of the exercise routines I started)
P.S. After 2-3 days I got some detox symptoms – drowsy, mild headaches, very thirsty. Just make sure you drink a lot of water and have some time to get some rest if you need to..
I’d be delighted to hear about your adventures into the raw food world..
